I'm a disabled small business owner.  My journey into the life insurance industry began when I made the decision to prevent what happened to me, happen to anyone else. My employer owned life insurance policy went away when I was medically retired and now I am unable to get my own life insurance coverage. If I had purchased life insurance on my own, I would still have coverage.
